The Young Israel of Phoenix is proud to announce that as of January 29, 2010, Rabbi Reuven Mann, formerly the Rabbi of Congregation Rinat Yisrael in Plainview, New York, has assumed the position of Rabbi and spiritual leader for the Young Israel of Phoenix.

 

For over 30 years, Rabbi Mann has served as a pulpit Rabbi, where he has gained a reputation for being a dynamic speaker, with a unique ability to communicate the ideas and concepts of Torah in an enlightening and inspiring manner. Rabbi Mann is also an acclaimed guest lecturer and scholar in residence at synagogues, college campuses, and Yeshivot throughout the United States and Israel.

 

In addition, Rabbi Mann has a very distinguished career in Jewish education. He is one of the founders of Yeshiva B'nei Torah, a post high school Yeshiva for men in Far Rockaway, N.Y., and has served as the institution’s Menahel since  its inception. It is there that Rabbi Mann has taught and trained many of the country’s leading Rabbi’s and educators. Rabbi Mann has also been deeply involved in Women’s education, as he is the founder and Dean of the Masoret Institute of Advanced Judaic Studies for Women, in Inwood, New York. Rabbi Mann also devotes a significant amount of time for Jewish outreach, as he lectures to Jewish Adults in the Manhattan Jewish Experience, and has consistently taught classes in Adult Education at the Long Island Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies.
